Do you use AI to make your music?
Nope. Every Sonic Starscapes Series is 100% organic human-made music composed in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Why isn't your site more searchable?
Because we make music, not websites. Every Series is a genre-less 15 minute journey of beats and melodies that can be layered, deconstructed, and recombined anew. Its up to you to find the piece that works for you. Grab a snack and get comfortable.

This is going to take forever.
So does hunting through an old record collection, browsing an antique shop, or panning for gold. Good art rewards patience.

Can I get a preview of the next Series?
Every Series premieres on our Youtube first, so subscribe there to always be up to date on the latest offering.

Can I get these stems as wav files?
Absolutely. Email us proof of purchase and we'll send them over.

What if I need a more finite breakdown of a track?
No problem. Let's chat.

Can I get the original Pro Tools session from a Series?
We can give you a look under the hood, but it'll cost you. Pricing starts at $500.

Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final.

Can I use your track in my film / podcast / video / game?
Is it a personal project? Yes - everything here is royalty-free. Is it for commercial use? Well, depends on what you're doing and how big you are. Ask us first.

Music Licensing Terms of Service

By purchasing and downloading any audio content from this website, you agree to the following terms. Please read carefully before completing your purchase.

1. What You're Buying

Each purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased audio content (full mixes and/or individual instrument stems) under the terms described below. You are purchasing a license to use the music — not ownership of the music itself. All compositions remain the intellectual property of Sonic Starscapes and their respective creators.

2. Standard License (Included With Purchase)

The standard license covers personal and small-scale independent use.

Under this license you may:

Use the music or stems in personal, non-commercial projects
Use the music in independent films, short films, student films, and creative portfolio work
Use the music in YouTube videos, podcasts, and social media content where you are not being paid by a brand or advertiser to produce that content
Modify, remix, or incorporate individual stems into original compositions for the above purposes

You may not under the standard license:

Use the music in advertising, promotional content, or campaigns produced for a paying client
Synchronize the music to content that will be broadcast on television, streaming platforms, or in theatrical release
Sublicense, resell, or redistribute the audio files to any third party
Claim authorship or ownership of the original compositions

3. Commercial & Studio Use — Contact Us

If your intended use falls outside the standard license, please contact us before purchasing.

This includes:

Advertising and commercial campaigns (regardless of budget)
Content produced on behalf of a brand, agency, or corporate client
Television, streaming platform, or theatrical productions
Video games or interactive media with commercial distribution
Productions by studios, broadcasters, or production companies with budgets exceeding $50,000 CAD

Using purchased audio in commercial contexts without obtaining the appropriate license is a breach of these terms and may constitute copyright infringement.

4. Attribution

Attribution is not required under the standard license but is always appreciated. If you'd like to credit the music, please use: Music by Sonic Starscapes

5. File Use and Security

You are responsible for keeping your downloaded files secure. Purchased files may not be shared, uploaded to file-sharing platforms, or otherwise distributed. Each purchase is for a single user.

6. Refunds

Due to the digital nature of these products, all sales are final once files have been downloaded. If you experience a technical issue with your download, contact us and we'll make it right.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes apply to future purchases only and do not affect licenses already granted.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
